LAST VISITED NOVEMBER 2013
Zuni Cafe is an established restaurant in San Fran, opening its doors to the public in 1979. Walking around Mission for a long while, I strayed on to Market Street and feeling a bit peckish, I decided to check out Zuni.
I never order salads in restaurants because I always feel somewhat ripped off but because I wasn’t hugely hungry, a salad seemed like a sensible option.
So, I went for the Zuni caesar salad for $10 with a side dish of white shrimp. It was light and refreshing and exactly what I was after at that moment in time; the dressing had a strong anchovy essence which was delicious.
I can’t really judge how good Zuni Cafe is, as I’ve only eaten a salad here. However, the freshness of the produce makes me inclined to think a main meal here would be good. Oh and anywhere that offers an endless supply of free bread is always a winner in my books, though sadly I couldn’t capitalise on it that day.
