My cousin got married in Greece last year, so I found myself in Athens for the first time (we spent 1 night at Urban Stripes, a block of chic apartments in the heart of Athens that I fully recommend) and then moved to Vouliagmeni which makes up part of the ‘Athens Riviera’.
My sisters and I stayed at The Margi.
I thought it looked quite nice in pictures but I found the place to be a lot more impressive in real life. Lots of warm tones permeate both the internal and external parts of the building.
The hotel breakfast was excellent – really fresh produce – juicy tomatoes and feta made for a heavenly Greek salad each morning.
The poolside was glorious and I happily spent much time lazing here.
We ended up getting upgraded to a suite with a huge balcony on our last night which was, as you can imagine, delightful!
