There’s nothing about this place I don’t like. Seriously. When we went on a Fri eve at 10pm, it was rammed, we had to wait in the bar downstairs for 20mins to get seated but it’s a cool space and they serve decent wine starting from £4 (yes you heard right), so I was happy. Great value for money considering the aesthetic, level of food and service you get. I had only a few snackky bits as wasn’t mega hungry. Brisket Bun – tick. The Crispy Ox Cheek with anchovy mayo? Sensational. It’s so incredibly rich and needs balancing out – order the citrus, shaved fennel, green chilli, mint salad (they swapped the fennel for cabbage for me and gave it to me for free because they’re awesome like that). The Smoked Aubergine with toasted cashew and burnt honey – hubba hubba. Looks wise, it’s rusted iron chic in the basement and dense dark wood on the upper deck…Spartan in design, laid back and hella sexy. Vibe on point. Service tip top. Officially one of my favourite spots to eat in London.
