Cosy bistro like restaurant in Westerpark
LOCATION
Marius is run by the same folks who own Worst Wijn Café, there is a website for the latter but not the former, so it’s a bit tricky trying to find location details for Marius. However, I did the homework for you guys and Marius is conveniently located next door to Worst Wijn café. They are located in Barentszstraat not far from Westerpark
THE SPACE
We came here for dinner on our 2nd night in Amsterdam. Marius has got a sort of French bistro look and feel to it. It’s quite small and intimate and just feels super cosy and homely. They are big into their checks, with both the floor pattern and tablecloths embracing this pattern.
FOOD & SERVICE
Marius has a daily changing 4 course menu of produce sourced from local markets, priced at €47.50. I’m ashamed to say I can’t actually remember what we had because I didn’t jot down my notes straight after, nor did the receipt recount what we had that day. However, my memory blank on the menu is in no way a reflection on the standard of the food! I think I got lost in the moment and wolfed down all the food before I had a chance to take a picture which would for sure have jogged my memory. I would certainly return to this sweet little spot.
VIBE
Way chill, super friendly staff. Err body just having a jolly ol’ time at Marius
MOOLAH
