I love Empire Records, so I was pumped when my friend Jen said this was on the Midsummer Night Screen programme for the summer.
Established in 2011, Rachel and Jen who run the screenings, set it up because “we decided we wanted to spend our evenings immersing ourselves in the world of film punctuated by stellar soundtracks. We didn’t just want to sit back and watch a film in any old regular cinema so we decided to take the idea up a few notches (quite literally) and started to host themed screenings on a roof park in east London.”
