LAST VISITED OCTOBER 2013
Craftsman and Wolves feels like a fine dining pâtisserie. It is a great place to grab a quick lunch in a cool setting. Sitting on the communal table, I tucked into the curried chicken salad sandwich with golden raisins and snap peas with a nice cup of jasmine tea to wash it all down (c.$ 13).
I’m actually not a huge fan of the ol’ sarnie (I blame Pret and their too much mayo is not enough mayo policy) but this, this was a very tasty one indeed. The little chunks of turnip on the side were a welcome addition. Soups, quiches and other bits and pieces including desserts are on offer. They even do an afternoon tea that I’d like to try out when I visit SF again with interesting pieces like the thai mango scone.
If I ate pork, I would be all over the ‘Rebel Within’ savoury muffin (asiago cheese, sausage, green onion with a runny egg embedded within it).
Service wise, loved the really friendly Mickey Mouse clad dude that helped me with my order.
If you are a visitor like me, they also do some sleek packaged goods that you could take home as souvenirs / presents (chocolate slabs, teas etc).
In short, not cheap as chips but worth it.
Cost: $13 (sandwich + tea)
